Art of the Title posted a hi-res version of the Super credit sequence and did a little interview with PUNY about the process of making them. Just want to reiterate how much Mike Owens killed it with directing this sequence.
The “crude” character designs/layouts are probably some of my favorite things I’ve ever done.

Our SUPER poster maker is going abroad!
We just finished the version of this Facebook app for the Japanese release.
The site is coming soon and we’ll post the link when it’s live. The coolest thing about the Japanese marketing is that they’re using a lot of Julia’s illustrations from the Title Sequence in the logos! They love cartoons!

Cartoon Brew posted PUNY’s “intentionally primitive” credit sequence for Super! Take a look. And then go see it in a theater.
An early in-progress screenshot from the titles of SUPER, which comes out today in select cities. I did character design and layout for the opening sequence. Mike Owens directed (he is incredible). PUNY did such a great job on this and with such an intense schedule. If you wanna see lots of violence and a lonely man struggling with his faith, be sure to check it out!
The Los Angeles premiere of SUPER was Monday night. Didn’t write about it sooner because I’m honestly still recovering. Damn, man…one of the most fun nights I’ve ever had. Watching the title sequence with Shad and Nick, knowing that PUNY got to be involved in something so cool and fucked up, seeing our work on-screen at the Egyptian theater… incredibly satisfying. James Gunn makes sick fun shit and I’m so grateful that we got to be a part of it.
