The Pete & Pete reunion last night at the Orpheum was a very loud reminder to appreciate living in this city. What a great fucking night. Could not help getting shamefully emotional as Polaris performed songs over clips from the show (especially “Everywhere” - are you kidding me?). Kelsy and I getting to meet Toby Huss and the two “Petes” was also pretty boner-inducing.
Fantastic to be among like-minded people all honoring this low budget children’s show on Nickelodeon, not celebrated too much by the network but violently adored by its fans for years following its premature removal from the air waves. Can’t help but compare it to a certain low-budget preschool show facing a similar fate. But damn we would be in good company!
